I really like playing pool, I have played pool for real and I just love it. So I wanted to give this a try.
I don't have much space for a real table but enough to play with the cue by air. And I just really like it, it's a little bit heavy, but you get used to. I use a knuckle strap with my left controller and I don't have any problems holding the controller and put the cue on it. You just have to be careful of not holding the real cue longer than the VR cue. It's really well made. The controller cup is a 3D print but very good quality, the screw that holds it is a little bit short, I think it could be longer but it holds it fine and I tie the cable strap to the cue just in case.
So, if you have room for a table even better, but still you can use this cue by air and it works really well. Very happy with my new pool cue!
The only bad part is that, there is a little ditch, I don't know if it's the union of two pieces but it shouldn't be there. It's just something esthetic. Not a big deal.
If you enjoy pool like me and can't go to a real pool place, this is what you need!
I never thought I'd see the day where we're using pool cues in VR but here we are. The Masterbreaker is quite an item. It feels very nice and high quality. The pool cue feels solid and the 3d print quality is very nice as well. All I really have to say is the pool cue is exactly how I thought it would be from the product listing. Which is good as the listing makes it look nice
It's nice to scratch the pool itch without commiting to owning a full pool table. I love pool but just don't have the space for a table. Well I guess I could make it work if one of my kids doesn't mind sleeping in our hallway. I'll make do with this while I try to persuade the wife 😁
The masterbreaker works well for what it is. Its basically a pool cue with a controller holder on it. that's not to take away from it it's just the reality of what it is. The "snaptic" on the end is a nice touch. It adds a nice feeling each shot. I took mine off just to compare how it felt without it and immediately realized that it does add something meaningful to the in game experience. I do wish the game was a little more tailored to the masterbreaker though. I have to pull my controller out when I break because the game makes the pool cue move so slow. The pool cue feels slow when I shoot normally too but that's less of an issue. I can still sink shots how I want to.
Overall I am enjoying using the masterbreaker and don't see myself playing miracle pool without it
