Great feel good grip works good can't complain
I recently received the DeadEyeVR DriVR, and I can say that it's worth the money if you're really into golf apps such as DeadEye or Golf+ on the Quest. This is a great, quality product; solidly made, and not at all chintzy. I was skeptical at it's cost at first, but being that I've taken a fancy to VR Golf games, I wanted more of a kind of "real feel" experience in play and the DeadEyeVR DriVR has helped to provide that. I also found that my kids are enjoying using the DeadEyeVR DriVR not just with golf apps, but in how easy it is to be implemented with certain other games/apps as well. For example: As Little Leaguers, they use the Win Reality baseball/softball program and have actually found a benefit with the DeadEyeVR DriVR being more comfortable to use with the program than holding the controller by hand, or even using a recommended bat adapter (which for me in seeing them swing a 33in. bat can induce a little anxiety if you have a small room or basement). Though the handle is smaller than a regular bat's diameter, my kids have regard it to be an acceptable compromise...versus swinging a bat in the house. It took a little time for it to be delivered, but it didn't disappoint. I applaud DeadEyeVR for such a well made product, and ALSO for their great customer service as well! Don't hesitate to buy. Definitely a good, well-constructed product for use with multiple games/apps.
Great golf grip - makes the game so much better and realistic.
There is no question this is the best VR golf club handle accessory on the market, but $100 for basically a piece of plastic with a rubber grip. I just bit the bullet and spent $85 on a new 9-iron and $70 on a new putter and those were actual golf clubs. I bought this when it first came out and it was priced at $39. I understand that inflation and the supply chain issues are likely factors to the cost increase but WOW! I have several friends that have purchased other golf club handles accessories at half the cost and they just don't compare to the quality of this one, but they are still functional. I feel if DeadEye would get this thing back below $50 their sales would go through the roof. UPDATE: 02/22/2023 - The price has come back down to a more reasonable price range. Kudos to the manufacturer for making that happen. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ACCESSORY. Production and use note: If you mix VR and real golf you will quickly notice a small problem. The VR club rig weighs about 5oz, where as an actual 5-iron weighs in at about 14-16 oz. The first time you go golfing in the real world after a few rounds of VR, your REAL golf clubs are going to feel like they've been dipped in concrete. I would like to see a 'weighted' version of this club handle that closer assimilates the real thing. For now, we've added a 1lb. wrist weight to the end of the club handle and it has made a huge difference. On a positive note, the VR golf experience has actually helped my real golf game by helping my overall swing mechanics and muscle memory. Plus 'practice makes perfect', you just need to balance the club weight and you're good to go!
I don't write many reviews on Amazon. It's actually been years. But I felt the need to write my first in quite a while after receiving this DeadEyeVR attachment tonight - the base unit for Quest 3, not the Pro or Elite - after seeing quite a few reviews slagging it for its quality (or lack thereof). Sure, you can see the controller part of the mount has been 3D printed... but who cares?! It works. And it works great, at least the one I got sent. The grip is absolutely top-notch and when I put on my Quest 3 headset and fire up Golf+ I have zero idea I'm technically holding a fake club. There's even an extra added weight attachment provided that I haven't even felt any need or desire to use because the default weight of the grip/shaft seems perfect to me. I guess if you're looking to replicate the weight of clubs Jack Nicklaus used when he was a teenager, yo, have at it. If you have any passing interest in Golf+ and don't want to settle for the ghost limb feeling of playing with just a controller, I can't see going wrong with this purchase, I know I didn't. I'm hooked. And yes, my terrible slice in real life has been replicated with the DriVR and Golf+ but thankfully it seems I'm making slow progress in correcting that. Can't wait to see how my experience in game translates to the range. ADDENDUM: So I added the weight that came with the club and cannot deny... it feels awesome. I still slice every @#$%& shot, but I feel great swinging.
We've really enjoyed using this so far! One of the issues that I had when initially playing Golf+ on the VR was that it would definite stretch and pull some nerves in my hands/wrists/forearms when I would swing a little off sometimes. This definitely helps alleviate some of that awkwardness/pain so for that alone I've been very grateful. It has actually been more accurate than I thought it would be as well just in terms of consistency with every swing. The setup was fairly easy, although I did end up having to set it up as a custom club instead of the integrated Deadeye setting because the club was facing backwards. But all in all I've been really impressed with the product and would recommend!
I'm an older, newer golfer that lives in Florida who likes to golf but can't always get on the course. Since I have a Quest 3 headset, I bought a golf program. Using just the controller as a club was totally unacceptable. I looked around & found this adapter & gave it a try. Some very easy assembly is required. There was no manual but a QR code & website address was provided. I used the web link which eventually took me to a YouTube video with the assembly instructions. Took about 10 minutes to put it all together with the provided tools. I did have to remove a small burr on the shaft so it would slip in the plastic holder easier. The provided nut has a lock washer built into it making sure it won't work it's way loose. My only super minor change I would make to this unit is to capture the thumb screw to the adapter as you have to remove it to put in the controller. This means there is a good chance at some time I will lose it! NOTE: The grip is the "standard" grip size. The bracket appears to be 3D printed & was pretty dense & heavy which means it looked really well built. It comes with an optional weight. After assembly with the weight I thought it felt a little heavy so I took it off. Then I did a very simple test comparing the weight of the Q3 controller adapter & my real clubs - slightly heavier than my high tech driver & slightly lighter than my pitching wedge. Conclusion for me - leave off the weight. Now the most important test, how to tell my golf sim (Golf +) about this adapter. I fired up the software, went to settings & there is was - the adapter by name. I selected it & then went 18 holes. The controller is held in very securely & I felt no motion when taking full swings. Now I can golf at home any time I want.
Well last week received the new DriVR Elite Chrome Mini and a replacement part for my DriVR - VR Golf Club Handle. I also regripped both DriVR club attachments with a midrange size Golf Pride grip. The service that I received from Dead Eye VR was nothing short of AWESOME. Keep up the great work. Now back to the DriVR Elite Chrome Mini attachment is absolutely incredible. With the adjustable weight system it feels like a real golf club with a real Golf Pride grip which is amazing. I bought the DriVR Elite Chrome Mini which is 21" long because of limited space and it worked out great. Dead Eye VR products are build strong, sturdy and made to last. I am a very satisfied customer and would RECOMMEND any of these Dead Eye VR attachments. Amazing work keep it up
Works great for quest 3. Feels like holding a real club in Golf+.
Great overall. I use hybrid irons and a lightweight driver so the weight of this is perfect, just about the same as my 4-hybrid: 378 grams with the controller installed. Slightly annoying for a left-hander in that you have to turn your entire Quest world around (controller buttons reversed), but now I'm getting used to it again. Controller is solid in the attachment once you add the rubber bumpers, with no glitching or motion. Easy to remove, too; easier than the old Quest 2 version. Highly recommended.

This is my second one, and I like the new design. My first one broke but it was my fault for smacking it full swing on a table. This one seems to hold the controller in a better position.

I have an earlier version (the Elite ??) that also works well. However benefit of this version is that it is easier to attach the controller. It is also shorter so less likely to hit anything.
